SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS 2025

Why the School Board Matters
Every three years, all state schools hold School Board elections. Our next election is in 2025. The Rodney College Board is a vital part of our school. The Board sets our direction, manages finances, and ensures we honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi. It develops our strategic plan and consults with families and the wider community. The Board includes five parent representatives, the Principal, a staff representative, and a student representative.

How the Election Will Work
This year, the Board has appointed Election Pilot as our independent Returning Officer. Election Pilot is approved by the Ministry of Education and will manage the election online. You will receive nomination and voting information directly from Election Pilot by email. If we do not have your email, you will receive the forms by post. This ensures everyone has a chance to take part.

Your Privacy and Data Security
To deliver the election, your name and contact details have been shared with Election Pilot as required by law. These details will be used only for the Rodney College election and will be deleted 60 days after voting closes, in accordance with the regulations.
